Artists can find great wilderness landscapes and wildlife here in the Cave Run Lake area. The Daniel Boone National Forest offers wonderful opportunities for creating masterpieces of landscapes. Cave Run Cabins itself offers a great view of the Kentucky hills (as seen in the top view on this web page). This scene is proudly presented from the sitting room of the Suite.

Local artists abound in the area! Come visit the shops throughout the area, just minutes away from Cave Run Cabins on KY-801 and US-60. Local artists also sell their creations in shops in nearby Morehead.

Crafts and antiques are found together in many shops, too. Several shops are listed in our Links, Local Businesses page. Find a hand-crafted quilt or a totem pole.
